Deep-Plane Face Lift and
Lower Blepharoplasty
This 50 year-old woman wanted rejuvenation of her face with removal of heaviness from the lower eyelids and elevation of the midface. Her surgical approach was with a lower blepharoplasty and an upper face lift in the deep-plane allowing for elevation of the cheek fat pad (the incision stops just behind her ear lobe).

Frontal view: Lower eyelid fullness has been removed and the hollowness beneath the eyes has been eliminated. The folds adjacent to the nose have been reduced and her prominent cheek bones are accentuated.

Oblique view: Carefully examine the eyelid and facial relationship and note the elevation of the face to better support the eyelid. The jowl and neckline are enhanced postoperatively, but as you can see, they were not major issues preoperatively.
